Redesigned Animal Medical Center Logo

In my AP 2D art class, I was challenged to redesign logos as part of my sustained investigation into logo redesign. My challenge was to take existing logos that could be revamped and make my version of the company’s logo. This is my redesign of the logo for Animal Medical Center, a vet in Pleasanton, California. I tried different logo variations to represent the company as a veterinary practice. I tried to incorporate a snake as it was a symbol for veterinarians, but it didn’t quite work out, so I stuck with the original plus sign design while maintaining the color scheme, which is why I kept the light blue on the plus sign. Still, I also thought that the sudden brown looked out of place, which is why I outlined the dog, cat, and plus sign in navy blue. I added a dog and a cat in the background to show that this vet's most common animals are dogs and cats.
